Introducing Foundation For Adequate Education

fae-4

FAE (Foundation for Adequate Education) is a Non-Governmental Organisation based in Nigeria, Africa. The main purpose of FAE is to provide adequate learning materials and infrastructure strictly to public institutions in Africa. FAE creates both public and media awareness of the current state of education in public institutions in Africa.

FoundationFAE strongly believes that no knowledge or education can be acquired without basic learning materials and infrastructure in public institutions. Every public institution needs a conducive learning environment with access to basic learning materials (both virtual and physical), in order for knowledge to be transferred to its students. FAE supports and provides these basic materials to public institutions in both major and rural areas. This makes learning more interactive and attractive for students.

Mission:

FAE is an active foundation with the commitment to support and provide adequate learning materials and infrastructure to all public institutions in Africa.

Vision:

To ensure all students in public institutions in Africa have access to basic learning materials and infrastructure.

Goals:

To improve the standard of education by providing adequate learning materials and infrastructure to make learning more conducive and interactive for students.

What we stand for:

Knowledge is power they say. Without adequate education in our public institutions, the future of our next leaders becomes uncertain. For this reason, we are mandated to fight for standard and quality education in Africa. In like manner, we believe that curriculum content should be substantial and concrete. FoundationFAE understands that learning conditions in public institutions across Africa could be better. Physical and health education is the key to upbringing.

Lest we forget that simple etiquette, manners, and attitudes of our children are acquired from these institutions. Public institutions are meant to enlighten and guide our students to choose the right path, as they are the leaders of tomorrow.

We strongly believe only adequate learning materials and infrastructure can enhance this.

We believe every individual can help support and contribute to the improvement of our educational system in Africa.

Why Us:

FoundationFAE believes in personal and joint community development over donations. Our cause stands for the improvement and development of education in Africa. FoundationFAE believes that together we can make the difference in Africa.

We believe individual and communal efforts at various public institutions in different communities across Africa will help create a smoother path for our next generation.

Our Involvements

Not only do we support and provide adequate learning infrastructures. FoundationFAE believes engaging the next generation with a free learning platform helps improve the standards and quality of education. FoundationFAE’s learning platforms cover both the audio and video contents. We provide learning materials for all courses from across the globe. Students can access educational resources and materials on their mobile devices or tablet. These learning materials are from various prestigious institutions and are accessible freely on FoundationFAE Virtual Learning Platform.

One of our key slogans is “Let’s make education fun.” FoundationFAE believes we can enlighten and entertain with education (E3). We provide learning games for kids. We provide fun simulation programs, both web based and apps for students. FoundationFAE knows that edutainment also helps improve learning for students of all ages from kindergartens, youth, adolescent, undergraduate or graduates.

In addition, FoundationFAE knows that the future of learning will be E-learning through mobile learning (M-learning) platforms. For this reason, we provide virtual learning platforms with educational materials and resources to engage the students into the next phase of learning. FAE understand that to provide adequate learning materials for Africa’s next generation we have to accommodate and adapts with the future educational trends.

For this reason is why FoundationFAE is known as the most innovative and educational Foundation in Africa.

FoundationFAE also believes in the concept of Edutainment.

One of our key slogans is “Let’s make education fun.” FoundationFAE believes we can enlighten and entertain with education (E3). We provide learning games for kids. An old proverbs claims that ‘all work (study) and no play makes Jack a dull boy’, but at FoundationFAE we believe that when study and play are synchronised, this makes Jack a smart boy. In addition, learning becomes fun and interactive for students when it comes in form of entertainment. FoundationFAE provides information and give access to edutainment materials that can help facilitate learning for students.

FoundationFAE also promotes and organise edutainment shows for public institutions students to encourage and attract them to stay in school. We inform students that learning does not only take place in school, but also at home either via FoundationFAE learning platforms or other resourceful educational sites. Personal learning or self-learning is the easiest way for students to gain knowledge and experience.

FoundationFAE understands that intervening through one’s profession is one of the best ways to help these institutions. The fact one uses his profession to help fix certain default in these institutions will help build a better environment for the students. Everyone’s collective profession can create a great impact in the schools, be it a carpenter, teacher, electrician, gardener, painter, plumber, banker, military officers, driver, tailor, marketer, advertiser, engineer, nurse etc. Visiting and supporting with your knowledge and skills will help improve the quality of education. All knowledge transfer or professions are well appreciated.

Personal or collective visit (visiting the public institutions in your communities):

We understand that most schools have been abandoned in our communities without help, aides, or assistant of any sort. We believe that if individuals, living in these communities of the affected public school visits and intervenes with furniture, boards, books, etc. The public institutions will have basic learning materials and infrastructure. FoundationFAE understands that joining forces with all residents living in these communities where the schools are affected can help improve the standards of learning. A collective and united plan to change the inadequate education system in these schools will be prosperous.

Share-Your- Knowledge initiative:

The SYK (Share-Your- Knowledge) is a way to intervene personally or collectively with public institutions by sharing one’s knowledge or ideas. Individual, enterprise, or organisations can help both FoundationFAE and public institutions in various communities, on how to improve the quality of education by sharing and transmitting ideas. FoundationFAE accepts that we do not know it all and cannot do it all alone.

The transfer of expertise or knowledge on how to make learning more fun and intuitive to our future generations in Africa is a priceless act. The contribution of all these ideas being transferred to FAE or directly to these public institutions can change lives in Africa. The SYK interventions can help both FoundationFAE and public institutions create a better learning and conducive environment. Remember knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted.

Gifts:

The giving of gift items such as books, shelves, pencil, eraser, basket, paint, dustbin, toilet rolls etc to these public institutions can make a big impact. For example, students can learn simple etiquette through the provision of dustbins or toilets in their schools. The habit of littering or defecating in public places will be minimal. Any form of gifts can change this student’s life.

Funds:

General funds of all sorts can be given to the public institutions directly or through FoundationFAE. We believe that intervention through us or directly to the school will put the same smile on the receivers (students) face.

Grants:

Grants from various bodies or organizations; both foreign and international are well welcomed, provided that it is in line and supports our cause to improve and provide adequate learning materials to public institutions.
